How much should I be eating?
I’m a 15 year old female
on a daily basis i eat:
breakfast: 2-3 slices of honey wheat light toast with margarine and an orange and raspberries
snack: about 15 almonds
lunch: a turkey sandwich on multi-grain/sourdough bread with reduced fat swiss cheese and carrits
snack: coffee with a cup of milk (skim mixed with a little whole milk), an apple with wheat germ, a small treat (today it was one girl scout trefoil cookie that only has about 30 calories)
dinner: tonight it was chicken lo mein with whole-grain noodles and vegetables (it was made with a few tablespoons of oil though). other nights it’s something such as baked chicken dishes or a really hearty bean and pasta soup
dessert: usually a scoop of frozen yogurt, sugar-free rice pudding, or a piece of dark chocolate, etc.
I run a few days a week and do a lot of walking.
I’m looking to maintain weight (117 pounds at 5′3.5") or lose only a little bit
How much should I be eating? And what should I be eating?
I hate it when girls obsess over every calorie and everything they eat has to be converted to "how much I have to burn". A little flab is cute!

Is there a connection between the Point Pleasant "Mothman" and the "owl creature" in Nome, Alaska?
There does seem to be a bit of a government cover-up with regards to missing people in Nome, Alaska and UFO alien abduction phenomenon as well as the Point Pleasant Mothman prophecies creature. Are these more than just extra-terrestrial beings given their metaphysical nature?

Longish q – My daughter saw her "friends" playing outside. One went inside and the mother inviited the other?
friend in…leaving my daughter out. My daughter has some learning difficulties…we really had to realize that today. How can I best protect her from that kind of cruelty again? I played outside with her until the little boy came out, and his father made a point to let them play…but the damage was done. Do I keep her away from this child and the cruel mother…who is typically this way…or, let her find her way with it?
Let her know some people are just cruel and she is better than them.
Tigger | Feb 08, 2010
They say kids are cruel but I firmly believe it stems from the parents…I know I’d definitely pull aside a few minutes to talk to the other mother (or slap her) as it seems they are in the neighbourhood and your little one is growing up there and these "friends" could end up being the best of,let the kids be kids but teach the parents some life lessons while you can…xxx
When it comes to the kids, they usually find their way, like I said,it’s the parent who cause the friction
slave2luv xxx | Feb 08, 2010
Yeah, nice old hide isn’t she.. I’m in agreement with both answers of course, but confrontation won’t really solve anything, it may even heighten it, so blow her a kiss and steer clear of her as much as you can, telling your beautiful daughter that they have a mental disability called ogre ism.

I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006)
IMDB rating: 3.70
Plot: The latest installment in the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” franchise focuses on a seemingly harmless Fourth of July prank that ends in the unexpected death of a friend of four teens from a small Colorado town who make a pact to keep the death a secret (despite one’s desperate protest). Over the course of the following year, the four teens find their friendships all horribly strained and all but terminated completely from the trauma. Come the next Fourth of July, just before the town’s annual carnival, the four teens all find themselves being victimized by a mysterious menace when they begin to receive intimidating calling cards indicating someone is aware of what happened before. The group suspect the cousin of the dead friend, only to discover they are very much on the wrong track. Can the friends survive and figure out the identity of their tormentor before they end up dead themselves?

What do you think about this story idea?
Story Idea #1
I’m currently writing a story about a girl. Her name is Chrissy. (I need a last name that will blend perfectly with her first, thanks.) She goes to a soccer camp (or should it be a football camp?) and she’s only one of the three girls who goes there. The rest are guys. I want this to be a love story, so I want her to fall in love with some boy. I was wondering if it should maybe be the strongest guy, the one who is the captain every game or should it be the more mysterious boy, the one who sits out a lot. He’s not weak or anything but you could think of him as like quiet and emo. (kinda.) So, I was wondering if you could comment on my idea.
-i need a last name for Chrissy, something that blends and makes her more feminine but not something that rhymes or anything.
-the camp is definitely more for guys, so should it be football summer camp or soccer summer camp?
-and what type of guy should she fall for?
Story Idea #2
It’s still the same girl, Chrissy, based on the same thing, a love story. She’s still one of the only few girls at a summer camp. The jockey who is really popular and is always picked for team captain and stuff, he likes her but she likes the one who’s myterious and quiet and sits out a lot. They’re both really cute, but I would choose to think the one who’s really quiet is cuter. Now this other guy is really possessive or something and is always asking her out and trying to be really romantic and pressuring her into stuff. He promises her like if she goes out with him, he’ll make sure she’s treated like one of the guys, she’ll be passed the ball and stuff like that in the games. But she’s only after the quiet guy, who is going to start showing a lot of interest in her too, way before the middle.
Thanks for those who answer. I hope you can help me
Okay I like both story ideas but I like 2 better. I’m not good with names. (Sorry) I think it should be a football camp, definitely. I think she should fall for the quiet one, but that just depends on her character. But i’m voting for emo.
Hope this helps.

I don't love my mother, Am I sick, or is she?
Firstly, my parents never beat, rape, or almost killed me.
When my father died (over 16 years ago) my mother became my world, I use to have nightmares about losing her and wake up crying. She was a good mum, had a great job that took up most of her time, so I didn’t see her that much, but I never needed for anything (I was spoiled). I knew she was very busy, but she never kept one promise she made to me. Then she got remarried, and moved us to another country. I hate my step-father, he rules with an iron fist. My mum says my dad was no different but I cannot believe that. Sure I don’t remember him, but I know he was never like my step-dad. During high school, my self esteem became so low (not like I was fugly or fat, I was actually pretty athletic looking). I felt so sh**ty all the time, because unlike all the other kids, I never felt proud of my parents, or wanted to joke around with them, or even talk to them. When I was home, I didn’t want to do anything but stay in my room. I didn’t like going out because I felt like I had forgotten to do a chore, or that if I was gone too long, my parents would complain about it. I never got "grounded", but I lost TV, internet, and more of my self esteem with everything I did. there rules, i have to say, are retarded. Anyone would think they were born 50 years old.
I lost interest in things I had loved before. Like art and varsity swimming, and learning at school. I quit the swim team, I let my grades go to the dogs, and ditched classes, and I had almost no friends. I would just go home and practically wait from them to tell me off about chores and school and then go to bed. OR I would spend hours at someone else house, and try to forget that I had to go home to them.
I didn’t want to talk to my mother about it because it made no difference what I said, my step-dad has the final word. So I just stopped saying stuff about my day, and my friends, and my boyfriends(or lack there of) and how I was. Naturally if you don’t give a blow by blow account of your day, parents think the worst. Drugs, sex and extreme violence. So they began to stand against everything, like me being at someone else’s house all the time. We would just hangout. All of my friends parents loved me. Probably because I was totally clean, took care of their children, and was so mature for my age (not the fake matureness some kids give off), they couldn’t understand why my parents ever complained about me.
I think I stopped loving my mother when I was about 17. I couldn’t stand to be in the same room with the woman. I hated the sound of her voice calling my name. But when she hugged me, something I use to adore as a kid… every muscle in my body would tense up and I lost the ability to swallow (not even kidding, that was my exact reaction). Perhaps these are symptoms of hatred.
When I was about 18 and half, I took a trip back to my homeland for a month, and saw all my dad’s family. I finally remembered that I’m more like my dad then my mum, and that’s when he was my age, he got out a lot and didn’t like being shut in either. I am nothing like my mother. I got my self esteem back and lost 15 pounds, and toned up a little. But I spent a lot of my trust fund money on myself. A LOT. I still don’t feel bad about spending it.
I eventually got to move out of that house when I went to college. Whenever I would talk to my mother on the phone, I felt like I was having a stroke. It’s not right to feel that when speaking to your mother. So I figured, Perhaps if I just keep a good distance, and just visited them, I might not feel so harsh towards the. When xmas came around, I didn’t go back to that house, instead, I stayed at my best friends home in the same town. My mom was so hurt, and I really wanted to care and feel welcome in that house. Everyone at college was so looking forward to going home and see their parents. Sometimes, I would lie awake in bed all night trying to think of one reason why I should still love my mom, or why I should go to that house ever again. I went to that house twice during xmas. And both times were horrible. All that happened was yelling, screaming and me crying. They told me I had no money for college. they had taken my trust fund away for my shitty spending habits. I let them take it because what else could I do? they are going to give it for school, which it what I would use it for anyway, so I didn’t see any reason to object.
it turned out I could complete my first year of real school, then I’ll do a year of community college. And see what comes next.
But I will have to move back into their house in maybe a month, or perhaps 6 months. But either way, i will have no where else to go. Unless I make some complicated plan for moving in with one of friends parents place. I honestly don’t think that would work out.
I’m 20 years old, and I feel like if I move back into that house, their almost insane way of thinking about people and situations would literally kill me. Worst of a
That is way to much to read but i scanned threw it some and im getting you having problems with your mother and the source is your stepfather? If so you need to really open up about your feelings and if it don’t work don’t be afraid to let go and focus on you for a little while and fix your needs.
Good luck to you.

Problems with Christianity?
For the past 3months, my "faith" in God or Christianity is dwindling. Why? Believing in an all-mighty creator just doesn’t put it to the test. I’ve decided to become a "deist" or an "atheist". My parents have been Christians for almost 10years and I asked them some questions. Unfortunately, my dad hasn’t been able to answer the questions. He then asked me to ask the Pastor with some questions but I need help organizing them.
1. What are some problems with Christianity?
2. If there’s a "God", what is his justification for "retards/handicapped"
3. Imagine this scenario. Try to prove this wrong.
Me: There’s a Donald Duck behind Jupiter.
Someone: No there isn’t, we would’ve known it by now.
Me: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that he puts on a cloak that makes him invisible.
Someone: We would’ve noticed the movement in space with our satellite system.
Me: He also has a watch that makes all the movement go away.
Someone: ….
See what I mean? People can’t justify if there is a God because they just make up some baloney. Also, I’ve noticed that there are contradictions in the Bible and that it’s been re-written quite a lot.
Last but not least, I also wanted to see someone type or list a few questions that Christians haven’t been able to answer. At least that I know of.
Thanks~

Paul’s words ring as true in our day as ever before. Our news and entertainment media praise and condone degenerate, sinful lifestyles and practices while condemning people who support biblical standards as narrow-minded bigots out to impose their biases on others. Such twisted values are the inevitable result of a mind-set that rejects the knowledge and commandments of God.

One of the biggest hurdles they can’t get over is the fulfillment passage which is as follows:
Consider Matthew 5:17-20
17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
So, supposedly, according to jesus himself– you are suppose to OBEY ALL THE LAWS AND THE PROPHETS UNTIL THE END HEAVEN AND EARTH. This means all of the 600+ laws and the prophets HAVE to be obeyed…
BTW It says nothing about Jesus having fulfilled the laws, or that you are under a new covenant…..it specifically says ANYONE, which means EVERYONE that believes and follows this stuff, and UNTIL THE END HEAVEN AND EARTH.
This would include the following and any other ignorant law or command from any of the prophets from the old testament:
Leviticus 15:19
"When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening."
Leviticus 15:20
"Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean."
They can’t deny this because it comes from the mouth of jesus himself. I teach religion and philosophy at a university level. If you have any questions regarding passages you don’t understand, or anything else regarding religion you can email me. Academic study is much different than the sunday school version of religion most are familiar with, as I know all the explanations for the passages, while lay people are only familiar with church dogma.

Isaac,
It seems weird to me that you would ask for others to give you questions for the Pastor. If this is truly your own doubt and concern about Christianity, then the questions should be your own.

Heard one question said to a Mormon about free-will in heaven..if there is free-will, can man be evil there, answer: Yes. But no-one would want to commit sin. So, isn’t that what happened in the garden of Eden? Answer: Erm..?
So heaven isn’t heaven, then, sounds like Earth.
If there isn’t free-wil in heavenl, then what happens. People are controlled by God at all times. It’s no longer a great place, just a place to be robotic and given thoughts at all times..

"Me: There’s a Donald Duck behind Jupiter.
Someone: …."
Seriously? Donald Duck is a cartoon made by Walt Disney. This is one of the worst pro-atheist arguments I’ve ever read.
"I’ve noticed that there are contradictions in the Bible"
Yes, if you like to pick out scriptures like a salad bar, otherwise there are no contradictions.

It doesn’t to me like you need to start at the beginning and that you may be a victim of bad influences and alcohol or drugs.
Jesus told Nicodemus, "You must be born again to see the kingdom of God."

There is a much deeper problem here….. Your lack of respect for your dad, and your use of the term "retard" shows that there are some deep seated respect issues with you.
Aside from that, you are going to base a decision that affects your eternal soul on some childish bullshit? Couldn’t you come up with something from Scooby-Doo?
Your dad sounds like the average church-attending American…. too busy with life to open the Bible and study the word of God, and find the truth for himself. He is like millions of others. That is no reason for your disrespect.
