Emma Davis pushed herself up from the floor where she had been praying at her pew and sat back in her seat. She pulled her long brown hair behind her ear, carefully smoothed her skirt and blouse and sat contently listening to Sis. Mathis play softly for those still remaining in the altars.
She discretely looked around for the other young people that attended her small church before realizing that tonight was Wednesday, they were all in the back for the youth class. Normally Emma joined them in the back, but tonight she just hadn
I’m in china right now,, and would like to know if there are any channels that will be showing the olympic games in english. Is there any way to get american channels like nbc?
Find someplace with satellite coming from the Philippines hooked up. We could get BBC, MSNBC, and FOX NEWS on it when we had it. Check hotels and expat bars in your area. Also, if there is an expat website for your city see if there has been a posting about an Olympic party. Good luck!

abc news vs. food lion
what was the verdict, and what was the jurors’ rationale for the verdict?
Food Lion was awarded $5.5 million vs. ABC News.
Jurors said ABC didn’t have to lie to get its information.
"The media has a right to bring the news, but they have to have guidelines too," said Gregory Mack, the jury foreman. "When you look at a football game, you see boundaries all around. You go out of bounds, you go out of bounds."
Juror Tony Kinton agreed, saying reporters will have to find better ways of "collecting the news without misrepresenting themselves."
Sure you can go swimming. You no doubt would be the only one in the water. The water is pretty cool though. It may be a couple degrees warmer than deeper water, but that’s about it. Richmond and Pinole have kind of muddy and silty beaches (using the term "beaches" loosely).

Um the water is NOT hot, not even close. Even "coo"l is being generous. But sure, you have a right to it I suppose. For hot water though, go up to Calistoga 2 hours north and get into some thermal waters.

I haven’t watched it in a very, very long time. I just watched an episode last night and it reminded me how much I enjoyed the show. I need some help so I can catch up and understand whats going on. Please answer some or all of my questions if you can.
1. What happened to Lynette’s hair?
2. Where are Bree’s children?
3. In last night’s episode, what did that woman (the one renting a room from Gabby) have in her drawer. (they did a close up on it but i couldn’t make out what it was)
4. Who are the gay couple?
5. How did Carlos become blind?
6. What happened to the baby that the Asian woman had for Carlos and Gabby? (2nd season)
Thanks in advance for answering
1. Lynette had cancer & her hair fell out during chemotherapy.
2. Bree’s son works at Scavo’s pizza with Tom (Lynette’s husband), has worked for them since Tom opened up the pizzaria. Daughter took off after her baby was born & Bree is raising it as her own (Bree was never pregnant, the daughter was).
3. It was cocaine….she is dealing out of Gabby’s house.
4. Gay couple bought a house in the neighborhood (I think it’s the house that the lady with the violent son was locked in the basement)
5. Carlos became blind when he was caught in the hurricane & got hit in the head.
6. The Asian woman who was a surrogate for Carlos and Gabby gave birth to a black baby & they knew it was not their child, so they released her.
auntcookie84 | May 05, 2008
Lynette went through cancer treatments for breast cancer. The woman had cocaine in her drawer, she is selling drugs out of Gabby’s home. The gay couple are new neighbors. Carlos became blind from an injury during the tornado at the end of last season. Can’t remember about the baby. Bree’s children, son is still at home, working at Lynette’s restaurant. Daughter, had the baby……….which Bree is raising as her own, not sure where she is.
Toto | May 05, 2008
I’m guessing you’re not watching in Britain as I watched it last night and Carlos isn’t blind and there isn’t anyone renting a room from Gabby.
Lynette had cancer and lost her hair but in our episode last night, she was told that the tumour had gone (or shrunk, can’t remember which).
The gay couple are just some new guys on Wisteria Lane.
Bree’s kids have both been in recent episodes so no idea where they’ve disappeared to.
vegasqueen1970 | May 05, 2008
It seems that most of these answers are correct…however the type of cancer Lynette had was NOT breast cancer.

NL East: All 4 teams that have won pennants have faced the Yanks in the World Series (Mets, Phillies, Braves and Marlins)
NL Central: The Cubs, Reds, Pirates and Cardinals have all played the Yankees. The Brewers have not, they’ve won one pennant, but they were an American League team at the time (1982). The Astros would be one team.
NL West: The Dodgers, Giants, Padres and Diamondbacks have all faced the Yankees, the Rockies have not won a pennant.
So I guess the Astros are the only NL team to win a pennant but not face the Yankees in a World Series.

If we can set aside the usual complaints of "my team should be in the National Championship game," can we discuss which of the following bowl games are actually good match-ups? What thoughts do you have? Which games do you think will be good games to watch? There are a number of match-ups that I wouldn’t have predicted, but am surprisingly interested in…
Here are the match-ups:
Wake Forest vs. Navy
Colorado State vs. Fresno State
Memphis vs. South
BYU vs. Arizona
Southern Miss vs. Troy
Boise State vs. TCU
Hawaii vs. Notre Dame
Florida Atlantic vs. Central Michigan
West Virginia vs. North Carolina
Wisconsin vs. Florida State
Miami (Fla.) vs. California
Northern Illinois vs. Louisiana Tech
NC State vs. Rutgers
Missouri vs. Northwestern
Maryland vs. Nevada
Rice vs. Western Michigan
Oklahoma State vs. Oregon
Houston vs. Air Force
Oregon State vs. Pittsburgh
Boston College vs. Vanderbilt
Kansas vs. Minnesota
LSU vs. Georgia Tech
South Carolina vs. Iowa
Georgia vs. Michigan State
Clemson vs. Nebraska
Penn State vs. USC
Cincinnati vs. Virginia Tech
Ole Miss vs. Texas Tech
Kentucky vs. East Carolina
Utah vs. Alabama
Buffalo vs. Connecticut
Ohio State vs. Texas
Tulsa vs. Ball State
Florida vs. Oklahoma
Have fun! And please don’t let this question become a forum for lobbying for Team X to be in Bowl Y. The games are set…which ones will you watch?
Here’s an interesting write up on Espn.com:
UF vs OU (UF wins)
PSU vs USC (PSU wins)
OSU vs Texas (Texas wins)
Utah vs ‘Bama (’Bama wins)
(basically, VT vs Cinci is the only BCS game I won’t mind if I miss)
and then…
Michigan State vs Georgia (Georgia wins…but in a close one)
GT vs LSU (GT wins in a blow-out)
SC vs Iowa (Iowa wins a close one)
Mizzou vs Northwestern (no clue who wins this one)
Ole Miss vs Texas Tech (TT wins in a blow out)
Wisconsin vs Florida State (Florida State wins in a blow-out)
…those are my "must see" bowls. In an unrelated side note, isn’t it absolutely uncanny how the SEC always gets to play their bowls in their home states? I know it’s usually pre-determined before the matchups are set, but man…has an SEC team ever played a bowl farther than 3 hours away from their hometown?

Penn State vs. USC is my #1!!!! Go Penn State!!!!! It’s a great matchup; I predict a really good game from these two. Besides, it’s the Rose Bowl, so that adds a bunch of excitement!
But I’m also excited to see Texas crush Ohio State… =] OS is overrated, in my opinion.
And out of loyalty, I’m excited for Notre Dame vs. Hawaii, because I’ve always been a Notre Dame fan… I still love them even though they’ve been awful for a while!
Oh, and I’ll root for Ole Miss because my amazing QB Eli Manning went there =] I love him… not to stray from college football, but I must say, the Giants do dominate!

Pretty much all of them look interesting to me. There are a lot of great side stories. Can Ohio State find redemption against the best team not in the championship game? Georgia MSU looks like a blow out on paper, but with Ringer, and the way Georgia has struggled against the run, it could be a close game. Is northwestern deserving of their rank? A team like Mizzou will tell us. Cincinnati vs Tech might be the closest BCS game.

2 that i will have special intrest in is
Notre Dame / Hawaii- Will Charlie Weis finally lead the Irish to a bowl win ? As a Irish fan I will be pulling for the Irish to prevail.
Alabama / Utah- I’m a Alabama fan so I want to see how the team rebounds after losing to a far superior Florida Bowl.
p.s.- I want all the SEC schools to win their games so the nuts at ESPN will have to admit that the SEC is the best conference in America.

Im going to the Konica Minolta Gator between Clemson and Nebraska, which should be decent but the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl between TCU and Boise State will be the best of the year, 10-2 vs. 12-0. I believe TCU held Oklahoma to a season low 35 points and should have beat Utah, and Boise can beat you almost any way possible, with defense, passing, rushing this game will be great!
